First, review the basic steps for using IQOS. Remember that after finishing, you must remove the stick using the top cap; do not pull the cigarette out by the filter, as the burnt tobacco would remain inside.

Useful tips for using IQOS

• Draw on IQOS very gently, rather slowly, for better flavor try not to overheat the stick.
• Keep as long intervals between draws as possible, the stick will cool down more, and the overall smoking time will be extended. 
• Don't be put off by the initial taste or coughing; you will quickly get used to the warmer vapor. More about coughing from IQOS.
• Get into the habit of returning the HeatStick to the charger immediately after finishing; it doesn't take longer than 6 minutes to recharge when you feel like having another one :-)
• If HEETS are too hard, try inserting the stick after turning the device on into the preheated holder; it will slide in more easily. 
• If the HEETS draw is not to your liking, sometimes blowing through the stick beforehand helps; some users even freeze the packs, as thawing slightly moistens them.
• IQOS needs to be cleaned regularly, ideally after every pack. Pay special attention to burnt residue at the base of the blade. How often and how to properly clean IQOS.
• The charger holds a charge for about 20-30 HEETS sticks; preferably use the original charger from the box, as phone chargers and car chargers are usually not powerful enough.
• The stick pack is divided; the empty compartment is handy for used sticks, for example in a restaurant where ashtrays have disappeared. In some places, you might encounter a Heetelnik.
• Buy HEETS sticks by the carton; they are cheaper in the manufacturer's online shop and at newsstands, a carton costs around 90. What HEETS variants are available.
• The IQOS device is registered to a name; when buying second-hand, always ask about the original registration and proactively request proof of purchase, although you currently don't need it for a warranty claim. More in How to register and deregister IQOS.
